Inky Paw's Challenge 180 - Sketch Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We are at the halfway point of this current challenge.

For this challenge I used the following Newton’s Nook Design’s product.

Newton’s Perfect Wave

Shark Bites (fish)

Summertime 6x6 Paper Pad

Using the sketch challenge, I created this card

Summer is almost over, so I thought this would be the perfect chance for one last summer card.

I started with a basic white cardstock tag.

I added strips of blue cardstock along the bottom of the tag.

I wanted to simulate ocean in a different way.

I stamped the fish from the Shark Bites stamp set on top of the strips, to add some texture.

With my “ocean” finished, I stamped and colored my image from my chosen stamp set, Newton’s Perfect Wave.

I angled Newton on top the stripped ocean that I created to look like he is surfing a wave.

I also stamped on a sentiment to the tag.

Next, I created a card base 3 ½ x 6.

On top of the card base I added paper from the Summertime 6x6 Paper Pad.

To complete this card, I added a bit of sparkle here and there.

This includes my take on this challenge.

Hope this gives you a bit of inspiration for your next project.

Inky Paw's Challenge 156 - Color Challenge

Hello Inky Paws Fans!

We have a NEW challenge coming your way.

I love the color challenge!

Of course, these colors just scream tropical, so why not go with it!

Using the Tropical Leaves Stencil is a must to start this card.

Once the stencil was secure on my cardstock I strategically

inked up the Tropical Leaf stencil using

Mowed Lawn

Peacock feathers

and Mustard Seed Distress Oxides Ink.

Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures while I was doing this.

I worked with a small blender brush and took my time, so I did not muddy the colors.

I also splattered on some extra Mustard Seed Paint to bring in more yellow color.

While the background was drying, I turned my attention to the Kitty from the

Newton’s Perfect Wave Stamp Set.  I stared by coloring in the surf board

yellow to stand out against the background.

A bright pink Bathing suit completed the look for my kitty.

To complete my card, I die cut out my card front square.

After I attached my card front to a card base, I used the 2 inch Circle

from the Circle Frames Die Set to create a place for my sentiment.

Finally, I attached my kitty to the front of my card with foam tape

and added some sequins for sparkle.

This completes my take on our color challenge.

Now it is your turn.

Take the challenge theme and show us your take.

Summer Fun with IPC 105

Today starts a new INKY PAWS CHALLENGE!
Check out the fun sketch we have for you.

With summer almost over I used the challenge sketch and the
and created one last fun summer card!

Summer Fun a card by Diane Morales| Newto's Perfect Wave Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs

The background of this card is Distress Ink in two colors.
When that dried, I took a paint brush and some white paint and dragged the white paint over the top to create a streaky sky look.

To match the leaves on Newton’s surfboard I used palm fronds
The sentiment that I used is from the
All of this I placed on a double layer of card of cardstock
that matches the challenge sketch.
I hope this inspires you to have some fun with the challenge sketch!
Cannot wait to see what everyone creates!

By for now!
