With Enough Coffee... Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

Hello Everybody!

Today I’m playing along with the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.
Everybody loves coffee, I know I do!
I would go to the ends of the Earth and beyond for a good cup.
My card is all about that!

Our friend Newton has taken his cup to the extreme…. outer space!
I had so much fun creating this card and it starts with this background.
Whenever I’m in a crafty rut what I usually do one or two
things clean my studio or make backgrounds.
This background is made splats of color that didn’t work out so well,
 so...
I took three colors of Distress Stain and stained over the top of that mistake.

On top of the color I added splashes of white paint to create the Stars.
I love to mix stamp sets so on the top of my “Galaxy”
I added Newton from the Cosmic Newton Stamp Set by Newton’s Nook Design.
The sentiment and coffee cup from comes from
the Coffee and Tea Stamp Set from Simon Says Stamp.

I just love the way this card came out !
It all started with a mistake and a love for coffee!
Thanks for stopping by

Let Your Dreams Take Flight IPC 73

Hello and welcome to a NEW Inky Paws Challenge!

This time around we have a sketch challenge to get your paws Inky with!

I just love a sketch challenge!  Check out this card.

Let Your Dreams Take Flight a card by Diane Morales| Newton dreams of London and Uplifting Wisheds Stamp Set by Newtons Nook Designs

I started off with Newton from the Newton Dreams of London Stamp Set
and one of the sentiments from the Uplifting Wishes Stamp Set.
In my crafty mind, these two stamps go fantastic together.
All I had to do is figure out the background.
I remembered I purchased this pattern paper from Pattern Happy with this
cool cloud pattern. This helped to pull the rest of the card together.
I stayed with the same circle feature, as the sketch and stamped my sentiment on that.
Behind my feature circle I have flags that were created using the Frames and Flags die set.

On top of my set of sentiments circle, I added Newton which
is colored in matching the colors that I use for the background flags.
The mini clouds are brads that I had from way back in the day from
Eyelet Outlet are the perfect complement for the sentiment on this card.

Now it is your turn! Use the link in the challenge picture above
and some Newton Nook Stamps to show us how you get your paws Inky!

As always linked links to the goodies are below.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
See you at the halfway point.

Seas the Day IPC 72

Hi Everybody!
We are at the Midway point for the current Inky Paws Challenge
What a fun challenge going on!

Using the Tranquil Tides Stamp Set and the Bubbly Stencil, I came up with this card.

Seas the Day a card by Diane Morales Tranquil Tides Stamp Set by Newtons Nook Designs

I love the idea of this stamp set and the stencil together.
The highlight of this card (besides the buttons) is the background using the stencil.
I saw this technique on YouTube.
It works great for turning your stencils into embossing folders!
I have a Cuttlebug. If you have this machine, you will
need a Rubber Embossing Mat to make this technique happen.  But…
What awesome results I got!  The more I rolled the deeper the impression was.

This turn out to be the perfect background for my sea creatures and coral.
I had to do some deep digging through my button stash, but I found these
cool earthy looking buttons that fit in with the theme of the card.

I am incredibly happy with the way this card came out.
I encourage you to try a new technique and grab some button and let
us see how you get your PAWS INKY.

As always, link to the challenge above, links to the goodies below.
Thanks for stopping by.

Your the Coolest IPC 71

We are halfway through the current Inky Paws Challenge!
In case you didn't know, we have an amazing selection of colors to use.

I love these colors and I wanted to figure out a way to just showcase just the colors.
This is what I came up with using the Company of Cats Stamp Set.

Your the Coolest a card by Diane Morales | Company of Cats Stamp set by Newtons Nook Designs

I LOVE this stamp set! It is so much fun to color, and just the right size for a standard card.
Using the challenge colors, I added pops of colors
here and there using the neckwear on the kitties.

I wanted the complimenting colors to be neutral, so I chose gray as my backdrop color.
I also filled in the ears and noses with light pink.
This card was totally fun to make!
The hardest part of this card was choosing how I wanted to use the challenge colors.
Now it is your turn, make a simple card or something crazy!
Use the challenge colors and the link above to show up how you get your PAWS INKY.

Lovely Amazing ! IPC 72

Welcome to a NEW Inky Paws Challenge!
I cannot tell you how hyped I am for this challenge. Check this out!

I love a good challenge especially one that takes me out of my comfort zone.
This one took me so far out my comfort zone I had to take a bus to get back!
A simple idea right…. Buttons.
But what I did not realize was that there is so many ways to use buttons,
that my head went spinning out of control. In the end I chose to go more direct.

I started with the background paper on this one, I had to dig through the paper stash
to find this one piece that would be perfect for this challenge
and inspired the rest of the card.

On top of the button paper I decided on some craft paper that was cut out
using the center insert from the Frames and Flags Die set.
On top of the craft paper, I layered on the Lovely Blooms Stamp Set Rose and Mason jar.
These two stamps are Distress Ink colored in, with a bit of Glossy Accents address for flair!
The sentiment from the stamp set is stamped directly onto the craft paper, and because this was a button challenge I rummaged into my ridiculously huge buttons stash and added some buttons to match the background paper.

My struggle bus was real with this challenge!
The office is littered with the remains of cards that are NTBS! (never to be seen)
That's what makes this such a fun and incredible challenge because I was able to
overcome and conquer and the results are better than I expected.
Therefore, you must grab your Newton Nook Stamps and some buttons and
get those Paws Inky!
I can't wait to see what everybody creates!
Don’t forget to post on the IG with the hashtag #inkypawschallenge #newtonsnook
Links to all the goodies are below. Links to the challenge is above in the challenge picture.
Thanks for stopping by.
See you at the halfway point.
Hugs

It's Your Day IPC 71

Hello and Welcome to a

NEW Inky Paws Challenge.

This time around we have a lovely selection of colors
for you to get your paws Inky with!

My inspiration came from the “Love Blooms “Stamp Set.

It's Your Day a card by Diane Morales | Lovely Blooms Stamp Set by Newtons Nook Designs

This set is perfect for this color challenge.
The flowers are fun and playful, and a great size to color.
I chose to go in a more clean and simple style.
Using leaves as a background, and the challenge colors on the flowers.
I love dimension, and a few dots of foam tape under the flowers is a must!

I added on a sentiment that come from the “Birthday Essentials” Stamp Set.

White Nuvo drops accent the center of the flowers.

Now it is your turn.
Use the challenge picture above to show us how you get your paws Inky.

Thanks for stopping by.

Meow and fur-ever IPC 70

We are at the halfway point of the current Inky Paws Challenge!
Currently featuring a sketch challenge.

I decided to use elements in the sketch as the elements for my card,
and turn the sketch sidways!
Since we are currently under a state of construction
here at my house, anything wood related is kind of on my mind.

Meow and fur-ever a card by Diane Morales | Newton's Sweetheart Stamp Set by Newtons Nook Designs

I went into my stash of paper and found
this super cute wood replica paper with the hearts on it to use as my card base.
I am quite fond of the Newton’s Sweetheart Stamp Set
I choose to use that as the feature point of my card.
Using two of the sentiments from the Newton Sweetheart Stamp Set,
as the top and bottom elements stamping them directly on my patterned paper.
Rummaging around YouTube one evening,
I found this video on how to use your stencils for embossing.
I gave that a try using the Tumbling Heart Stencil.
This became the background behind the kitties.
The result was good for the first time, but I need to work with it more later.

I colored in my kitties with my paper choice in mind and popped them up using foam tape.
I assembled everything into a card base and added on some wood dots as side elements.

Now it is your turn!

use the link in the picture above to show us how you get your PAWS INKY.
