Masculine - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

 

This week at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

It is all about the boys with a MASCULINE Challenge.

featuring products by TIM HOLTZ.

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

Here is my take on this challenge.

For this card I started with the spray stains in the background.

My colors of choices are

Chipped Sapphire

And

Salvaged Patina

A few sprays on some white cardstock here and there.

Stamping on the on the Patchwork Pieces Rubber Stamp came next

 Versafine Onyx Black Ink is my ink choice, and I did heat set this

 layer with clear embossing powder to give the look some texture.

 I wanted choices for my background, so I ended up making a second card base

 with the smaller hexagon from the stamp set.

Both pieces were die cut down using my Rectangle Basic Set by Memory Box.

After layering everything together to see how things looked,

 I ended up liking the larger hexagons with the Salvaged Elements.

 Also, I inked up the edges a bit with matching Distress Ink.

Next, I glued down my card base onto a card make

with Soft Navy Card Stock by Simon Says Stamp.

Finally, I attached my Salvaged Elements and Quote Chip to my card.

The card needed a little something, that is when I decided to

 chop up the smaller hexagons and add them on with foam tape as an extra layer.

This was good choice. I like the multiple dimensions of layers.

That completes my take on MASCULINE
