Emboss It - Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

THIS WEEK’S THEME AT THE

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

EMBOSS IT

Featuring products by

TIM HOLTZ

You do not have to use the featured company to join in.

But… If you have some of their product in your stash

We would LOVE to see them used.

Here is my take on this challenge.

For this card I used the following product

Mini Stencil #51

Floral Elements Cling Rubber Stamp

Noteworthy Cling Rubber Stamp

I also used other assorted items listed below.

Let’s get started on this card.

To stare this card, I created a background using the Mini Stencil #51.

I taped the I taped the dotted line stencil down on white cardstock.

Using Weathered Wood Distress Ink, I added on a light smear of color.

With the ink still wet, I sprinkled on Hickory Smoke Distress Glaze and heat set.

I ended up doing two of the backgrounds.

The first background I did was way to dark (this became a tag)

Next, I stamped out my flowers of choice from the Floral Elements Cling Rubber Stamp.

Once the ink was set with clear embossing powder, I chose my favorite Distress ink and

used the ink as watercolor to color the flower in.

This card felt like it wanted to be a shaped card, so I thumbed thew my die stash and found a hexagon.

I die cut out my embossed card front first, and then created a card base from a larger hexagon.

After I glued my card front and base together, I chose a sentiment from

the Noteworthy Cling Rubber Stamp and added that to the front.

I fuzzy cut my flower out and started to add them to the front of the card,

propped up a few of the flowers with foam tape.

To finish the card, I add on some clear and white gems.

BUT WAIT THERE IS MORE!

I had a lot of scraps from creating this card, including that darker background.

I decided that a matching tag would be fun.

I die cut the darker background into tag shape.

I add a bit of water to the leftover ink I had on my pallet from water coloring.

I smooshed my tag on the inks creating color speckles on the tag.

I fuzzy cut the extra flower I had and added that the front of the tag with foam tape.

I stamped and wonky cut out the sentiment to go on the tag.

A couple of gems and a bit of twine complete the tag.

This completes my take on EMBOSS IT
