But… If
you have some of their product in your stash
We would
LOVE to see them used.
Here is my
take on this challenge.
So excited to share all the fun elements on
this Butterfly House with you.
To start
this project, I found this wooden house at the local craft store.
The plan is to turn it into a butterfly house.
I am NOT
in any way! a mixed media artist so I did the best I could do and enjoyed the process.
I decided on
the color scheme based on the butterflies that I chose from the ephemera pack.
Not knowing what to do, I covered the house
with first with backdrop paper.
Huge mistake
#1!!
I ended up
covering this up with blue tape to paint the roof and base.
This led
to some of the paper being damaged when the blue tape was removed.
I ended up
covering the damage with Rose Design Tape around the base of the house.
Speaking of
the roof, so much fun to do!
Using a
combo of peeled paint and rustic wilderness I panted over the crackle paste.
I LOVE the
texture of the roof; I also painted the base of the house with the same color.
I did not
like the hole on the front of the house.
That got covered
with a die cut circle wrapped with washi tape.
To add on
the ephemera elements, I kept it simple.
I pick a
few that I liked and layered them up using foam tape on the front of the house.
To make
the butterflies “fly” I glued them to Clear craft plastic and glued them to the
back of the house.
For a
final touch I picked a sentiment from Small Talk Stickers that
I stuck to a piece of craft plastic for strength and glued to the front of the house.
This completes
my take on NOT
